Big Brother Naija 2019 housemate, Seyi Awolowo, was dragged into an exchange today with a follower who did not agree with his views on ‘illegal money’.

Seyi had taken to his IG page to share a photo with a caption that advised his followers to stay off shady dealings or engaging in illegal stuff just to be successful in life.

Seyi post:

I have said it before and I would say it again

You don’t need to be shady, wayward or do illegal stuff to move forward and be successful.

To you degree and certifications you need to add a set skill and to your skills you need to add business sense. 
Nigerian youths would rewrite the story of the black man 

However, a fan was not pleased with the post and he blasted he realit star, writing ;

”You don’t have sense, na because you don see small light you don turn motivational speaker. Abi you never chop illegal money”

Seyi was not going to let that slip and he replied thus ;

”You have been recognized but please take time to unlearn what you have learnt before now so you can have more access to a knowledge that can make you a better person. Keep this energy up and chanel it into more good bro”.

Wizkid set new record as he become the first Nigeria artist to win NAACP award



StarBoy honcho, Wizkid has become the first Nigerian to win a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) award. 

Wiz won the award alongside Beyonce for their song,  “Brown Skin Girl” off of “The Lion King: The Gift” album.

The NAACP Image Award is an award to honor outstanding performances in film, television, music, and literature, and “Brown Skin Girl” which featured Wizkid won in the “Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration” category at the 2020 edition.

Wizkid was nominated alongside other prominent American artistes like Drake, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, J Cole, and Miguel and his win makes him the first Nigerian artiste to win the prestigious award.

This award comes as Wiz gears up to release his latest studio album, Made In Lagos after announcing last week that the album was finally ready. Made In Lagos comes as Wizkid’s fourth studio album following, Superstar (2011), Ayo (2014), and Sounds From The Other Side (2017).
